To young women who are interested in changing the world!
Do you care about the world around you? Do you want to make a difference? Learn the practical skills that can make it happen!
International Women’s Development Agency (IWDA)* is offering a unique and exciting program called Global Youth Impact. Global Youth Impact is a leadership program for Victorian girls who will be in years 10-11 during 2011.
The program supports you to develop leadership and advocacy skills while focusing on issues of gender, diversity, international development, social justice and human rights.
What’s it all about?
The program encourages you to:
- think critically about inequalities between women and men
- discuss and explore social justice issues that are really important to you
- learn leadership skills
- start thinking about different career options available in development, human rights and social justice based organisations
And you won’t be just talking – you actually get to take some action and influence those around you!

* International Women’s Development Agency (IWDA) is an Australian non-profit organisation that supports women to create positive change in women and their communities. Our practical and rights-based projects directly address poverty and oppression in developing countries.
We are currently working in eight countries including Cambodia, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, East Timor and the Thai-Burma Border on 24 projects. As an organisation we recognise the unique ability and power of young women to facilitate positive and sustainable global change… and that’s where Global Youth Impact comes in!
